NANOGrav's Fall 2026 Collaboration Meeting

The meeting will take place Monday - Wednesday (November 16th - 18th) within the normal business hours of the Central Time Zone. This meeting will be a hybrid meeting where attendees can attend in person or via Zoom during our recorded science talks, invited guest speaker presentations, and panels.

The main meeting sessions will be hosted by the Texas Tech University's Department of Physics and Astronomy and to be held at TTU's McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center.

We will have a Student Workshop taking place directly before the conference's start on Saturday & Sunday (November 14th - 15th). The workshop will be held in the Academic Sciences Building (Room 210) which is located South West of the Memorial Circle.

Travel Information

This conference is being hosted in Lubbock, Texas, located in the Northwestern section the state within the region known as the South Plans.

Getting To/From the Airport

Travelers should plan to fly into the Preston Smith International Airport (LBB). LBB is served year-round with direct connections to: Dallas / Fort Worth (American, Southwest); Denver (United); Huston (United); and Las Vegas (Southwest).

The Airport is approximately a 20-minute drive away from Texas Tech University and the hotels. The easiest way to access the airport is via a rideshare service (Uber/Lyft). The Overton Hotel offers pre-scheduled airport shuttles for their guests.

Lodging Information

Our primary hotel will be the Staybridge Suites with the Overton Hotel and Hyatt Place serving as our secondary hotels. The Staybridge Suites and Hyatt Place offer free continental breakfast., while the Overton has a restaurant on premises.

While the Staybridge is located at the South Eastern corner of campus and is thus a 5-minute walk away from the Alumni Center, both the Hyatt Place and the Overton are about a 5-minute drive / 20-minute walk away. Attendees can travel on the CitiBus line which can be taken from these hotels to Memorial Circle, which is close to the venue. Specifically, the 44 - North Overton Bus Line.

Staybridge Suites

We have reserved a courtesy block with the Staybridge Suites at the negotiated pre-tax price of $105/night for a Queen/King Suite w/ Kitchen.
